Hoosiers For Good and Hoosiers Connect Exceed $1 Million Fundraising Goal at the End of 2022, Securing an Additional $1 Million Match from Anonymous Donor

Hoosiers For Good and Hoosiers Connect, the official NIL Collectives of IU Athletics, raised over $1.3 million in donations, sponsorships, and memberships from November 14 through December 31, 2022. Contributions up to $1 million made during this time period were matched thanks to a pledge from an anonymous donor, bringing the total amount raised to over $2.3 million.

The contributions from Hoosier fans will impact area charities and businesses through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements made with IU student athletes.

"The response and involvement of Hoosier fans throughout this campaign has been incredible," said Executive Director of Hoosiers For Good and Hoosiers Connect Tyler Harris. "The funds raised are going to have a tremendous impact on Indiana charities and businesses, as well as IU student athletes. I'm really excited to share with our donors, members, and businesses the impact that they will make on Indiana and IU student athletes as a result of their participation. Thank you to everyone who contributed."

Hoosiers For Good, a 501(c)(3) partners local charities with community-minded IU student athletes who choose to use their platform and influence to promote philanthropic work that helps Indiana communities. Prior to the match fundraising effort, Hoosiers For Good has partnered with 14 Indiana charities and 25 IU student athletes for year-long agreements. Hoosiers For Good also partnered with over 100 IU Football players in a 3 month campaign with Stop the Violence Indianapolis at the end of 2022 to encourage young people to stop gun violence.

Hoosiers Connect provides an avenue for businesses to amplify their commercial brands through NIL sponsorships with IU student athletes. Additionally, it offers fans an opportunity to sign up for NIL memberships that include special perks, including experiences with IU student athletes. Current Hoosiers Connect members will begin experiencing their membership benefits this month. New members can sign up at any point during the year.
