MONTREAL, Dec. 5, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal will welcome a brand new American-league professional basketball team that will call Centre Pierre-Charbonneau home beginning in March 2023. You are invited to mark the occasion on Thursday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. where detailed information about the organization will be revealed, including the team's name and logo.
Comprised of 15 high-caliber Montreal players, this new team will be part of The Basketball League (TBL.) The fastest-growing and largest basketball league in North America, TBL is a U.S.-based professional, Winter/Spring basketball league with teams in 44 cities. The Montreal team will play against teams at home and in the U.S.A. One of the goals of the TBL is to support local communities, schools, youth camps, clinics, and non-profit organizations
The new Montreal team will play 24 games, 12 of which will be at home, during the TBL regular season between March and June. Tickets for the games will be available to the general public starting at $20.
The tryout camp will take place mid-January 2023 and the team roster will be announced at the end of February 2023.
