COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 7, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 1 718 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,260,221*;
- 6 new deaths, for a total of 17,415 deaths, i.e.;
- 3 deaths in the last 24 hours,
- 3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 3,948 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,974 hospitalizations, including 647 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 15 compared to the previous day;
- 169 new entries,
- 154 new discharges;
- 51 people in intensive care, including 26 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
- 10 new entries,
- 12 new discharges;
- 13,700 samples conducted on December 5;
- 314,078 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 264,495 positive: 149 declared for yesterday, including 130 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 15,427 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,510,687 doses received by Quebecers.
