The Rice Family Foundation Completes 2022 Grant Fund Distributions Distributes Over $1 Million Across Fifty-Seven Nonprofit Organizations

The Rice Family Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded grant funds to fifty-seven local area nonprofit organizations for 2022, the Foundation's largest to date group of recipients which benefit from the over $1 million granted.

Founded in 2017, The Rice Family Foundation supports eligible local nonprofits in the greater Hanover, Pennsylvania, and surrounding area who dedicate their time, efforts, and resources to foster a better community. The Foundation is supported by financial commitments made by Mike & Jane Rice and Dylan & Stacie Lissette, third and fourth-generation members of the Utz snacks family.

This year, the Foundation received dozens of applications and selected recipients after a rigorous review process assuring funds go to exceptional organizations and initiatives which will most positively impact the community.

The recipients have varying missions, from VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, which offers home health and hospice care, to the Children's Home of York, an organization dedicated to empowering children and helping them to thrive while strengthening families, to the Salvation Army, who supports those less fortunate and in need of help. These organizations are just a few of the many making a significant difference in the community.

One of this year's recipients, the Hanover Area YMCA, is a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening the community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages, and inspiring action in and across communities. "We are grateful to The Rice Family Foundation for their support of our organization," said Cam'ela Bisch, Chief Executive Officer of the Hanover Area YMCA. "Their gift will be used to fund the purchase of outdoor adventure course equipment designed for children and will be available for use by all children in the greater Hanover community."

The fifty-seven nonprofit recipient organizations represent just some of the many who work hard every day to provide care, comfort, and support for those most in need. "We are so proud and excited that The Rice Family Foundation has been able to benefit fifty-seven nonprofit organizations this year!" said Stacie Lissette, Director of The Rice Family Foundation. "Their numerous contributions and efforts in making our community better is inspiring. And we hope our collective efforts inspire others to get involved where they work and live."
