CPAmerica and Surgent Award 2022 Scholarship to CPAmerica Member

CPAmerica is continuing its partnership with Preferred Provider, Surgent by awarding a scholarship for Surgent's CPA Review Course to a CPAmerica member. This partnership began in 2019 and has since awarded 10 scholarships to CPAmerica members.

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CPAmerica is continuing its partnership with Preferred Provider, Surgent by awarding a scholarship for Surgent's CPA Review Course to a CPAmerica member. This partnership began in 2019 and has since awarded 10 scholarships to CPAmerica members.

This year's scholarship winner, Marla McCranie, tax staff accountant with SME, CPAs, had an unexpected path to accounting. Once an English literature major with dreams of teaching poetry, she experienced some life changes causing her to return to school, ultimately earning her accounting degree in 2021, and she knew it was the right decision for her future.

"The actual journey into the accounting field has been my most rewarding experience," said McCranie. "Each day is a new opportunity to learn and grow in the field, and every tax season is an opportunity to test my survival skills and strength."

McCranie will be using the provided Surgent exam preparation materials to study for the Enrolled Agent exam, one of four exam prep tools offered through this scholarship.

"I am excited to begin my study journey with Surgent's materials and take the Enrolled Agent exam, because I know it will add value to SME, CPAs, which directly adds value to our clients, the sole reason we are here," said McCranie.
