P.volve Names Dr. Shannon DeVore to Clinical Advisory Board

P.volve, the leader in evidence-based functional fitness for women, announced today that it has appointed Dr. Shannon M. DeVore to its Clinical Advisory Board as MD, Reproductive Endocrinologist. Dr. DeVore is Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at New York University's Grossman School of Medicine.

P.volve's Clinical Advisory Board, composed of distinguished medical doctors and healthcare and fitness experts, works with the P.volve team to collaborate on workouts, programs tailored to specific need-states such as pelvic floor health, managing symptoms related to the menstrual cycle and new products. P.volve's fitness offering is available in-studio, through live and on-demand virtual classes and via a growing franchised studio footprint. The programs can be accessed directly from P.volve and through employer benefit and corporate partnerships.

"We are proud to announce Dr. Shannon DeVore's appointment to our Clinical Advisory Board," said Julie Cartwright, president of P.volve. "The Board's members are an integral part of ensuring that the P.volve method is firmly rooted in science, and Dr. DeVore's experience as a researcher and practitioner in fertility and related obstetric and gynecological issues underscores our commitment to deepening our impact on women's fitness and health throughout their lives."

In order to support women throughout their lifetime, P.volve has put an emphasis on developing programs that support fitness during the progress of pregnancy from beginning to end, including the pre-conception, prenatal and postpartum periods. These programs, with the approval of P.volve's Clinical Advisory Board, are designed to address women's fitness needs as their bodies move through each stage of pregnancy.

"I'm pleased to join P.volve's Clinical Advisory Board. During my career, I've been focused on improving women's health prior to and during pregnancy; physical health is a significant element of reproductive health. P.volve takes a scientific approach to movement which will help women in their journeys to parenthood, and I look forward to advising the team as it continues to develop its programs," said Dr. DeVore.

Dr. DeVore joined the renowned NYU Fertility Center team in 2019 following advanced training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility as a fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at NYU Langone Medical Center. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center.
