Brunswick Main Street District Welcomes New Child Care Center

A ribbon cutting was held August 4th for Imagination Station Children's Center

BRUNSWICK, Md. , Aug. 5, 2022  /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Brunswick Main Street officiated a ribbon cutting today for the latest business to join the Brunswick Main Street District, Imagination Station Children's Center. Located at 8 South Maple Avenue, Imagination Station offers before and after-school care for Brunswick Elementary students, as well as a preschool program for children ages 2-5 and drop-in care for Parents Nights Out.

Prior to opening Imagination Station, owner Emily Simpson cared for and educated children in a variety of professional settings as a nanny, at various centers, and as the owner/operator of a licensed home daycare for ten years. She describes her new location as "an exciting expansion with fun new ideas," and looks forward to "providing a safe, fun, positive environment for children to play, learn, and bring new life to downtown Brunswick."

Emily, along with her husband Matt, a licensed home improvement contractor, gave the property a complete makeover, including an exterior refresh with help from Brunswick Main Street's Façade and Interior Improvement Grant program. Carmen Hilton, Brunswick Main Street Manager, is excited to see another building reopen for business. "Emily and Matt worked hard to improve the property, and child care is such an important part of economic success. We're thrilled to have this as part of our downtown business landscape."
