COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 5, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1,013 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,154,061*;
14 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 16,024 deaths;
4,910 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
2,109 hospitalizations, including 716 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 27 compared to the previous day;
173 new entries,
200 new discharges;
57 people in intensive care, including 27 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 10 compared to the previous day;
6 new entries,
16 new discharges;
12,906 samples conducted on August 3;
271,363 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 226,874 positive: 296 declared for yesterday, including 249 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
9,971 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,377,156 doses received by Quebecers.
