COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Aug. 2, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1,354 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,150,154*;
12 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,971 deaths;
5,186 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
2,126 hospitalizations, including 726 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;
368 new entries,
367 new discharges;
59 people in intensive care, including 29 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 8 compared to the previous day;
22 new entries,
30 new discharges;
9,706 samples conducted on July 31;
269,369 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 225,115 positive: 344 declared for yesterday, including 282 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
4,493 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,348,769 doses received by Quebecers.
