The Building Center, Inc. is announcing the acquisition of a 130,000 square-foot facility on 72 acres in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The property is serviced by CSX rail. When it is operational, the new acquisition will serve as a manufacturing facility, and lumber and distribution center for building materials for builders in North and South Carolina. The Building Center, Inc. is one of the nation's largest independently owned, building-materials providers. Currently operating in seven locations, the new Georgetown facility will be the company's third roof and truss manufacturing facility.
