CRISPR/Cas9 license agreement for ERS Genomics and CIEA


DUBLIN, April 7, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- ERS Genomics Limited (ERS) is pleased to announce a license agreement with Central Institute for Experimental Animals (CIEA) in Japan. This is a non-exclusive licensing agreement granting CIEA access to the ERS CRISPR/Cas9 patent portfolio.

ERS, co-founded by Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier, 2020 Nobel Prize winner for gene-editing, provides access to the foundational CRISPR/Cas9 intellectual property. Eighty-nine patents are held in over eighty countries. 

CIEA is a private and independent non-profit institute, founded in 1952, with the aim of contributing to medical care and medical science based on the ethical use of animals in modelling of diseases and treatments.
