KLAS Research Ranks Wolters Kluwer Sentri7 #1 for Infection Control & Monitoring

Wolters Kluwer, Health today announced that Sentri7 clinical surveillance solution received Best in KLAS recognition for infection control and monitoring in the 2022 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. KLAS, a research firm that specializes in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors, identified Sentri7 as the market leader for infection control for hospitals and health systems.

"Being KLAS's top-ranked infection control and monitoring solution is an honor for everyone on our Sentri7 team," said Karen Kobelski, Vice President and General Manager for Clinical Surveillance, Compliance & Data Solutions at Wolters Kluwer, Health. "Our clinical and product experts are committed to delivering the latest evidence-based guidance into practice. Through expert rules and advanced technologies, clinical teams can identify at-risk patients and intervene in real-time with the best care."

Recognition grounded in customer feedback
KLAS interviews thousands of healthcare professionals and uses the responses to rate innovative surveillance software. Evaluation questions cover several areas, including Culture, Loyalty, Operations, Product features, Relationship, and Value.

One director commenting to KLAS about Sentri7 stated, "The solution is a rockstar when it comes to driving tangible outcomes. Its interface allows us to easily gather data and report things. With the solution, I don't get lost in all of my papers every day as I try to track infections. Instead, everything is in one spot. That makes it easy for me to identify and report infections."

Another provider surveyed by KLAS discussed the value of top-ranked Sentri7 particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic: "Sentri7 Infection Prevention has been a life-saver; it has been a useful product. The analytics piece is really good. I like that the people in the pharmacy and microbiology departments and I can all look at things, and things are integrated. It is easy to separate out different fields for HIV surveillance, and then our COVID-19 patients all get listed because we can filter out and manipulate without the information having to be in an Excel spreadsheet. We can write rules to pull up patients from data, and that is nice too. If I ask for something, Wolters Kluwer includes it, and the vendor is usually very speedy about that."

About the top-ranked infection prevention solution
Wolters Kluwer Sentri7 is designed to deliver real-time alerts and evidence-based guidance so clinical teams deliver the right care at the right time. Even with robust electronic health record (EHR) systems, many hospitals are still challenged with identifying at-risk populations and optimizing infection prevention and control programs. Sentri7 advanced technology leverages data from the EHR and delivers an IP-tailored workflow to automate infection control and required regulatory reporting so that infection control professionals can focus on improving patient care instead of spending time working with IT or navigating manual processes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, IP teams have been challenged more than ever. Sentri7's rapid deployment of technology and expert content to automate patient identification, proactively identify clusters of infection, and enable new required reporting provided critical support to IP teams during this challenging time.

Why Best in KLAS matters
Best in KLAS is a recognition given by KLAS Research to health technology solution providers for outstanding efforts to help healthcare professionals deliver better patient care. The Best in KLAS designation is reserved for the software and services market segments that have the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations.

According to Adam Gale, CEO at KLAS Research, "Each year, thousands of healthcare professionals across the globe take the time to share their voice with KLAS. They know that sharing their perspective helps vendors to improve and helps their peers make better decisions. These conversations are a constant reminder to me of how necessary accurate, honest, and impartial reporting is in the healthcare industry. The Best in KLAS report and the awards it contains set the standard of excellence for software and services firms. Vendors who win the title of Best in KLAS should celebrate and remember that providers now accept only the best from their products and services. The Best in KLAS award serves as a signal to provider and payer organizations that they should expect excellence from the winning vendors."

Wolters Kluwer will be honored at the Best in KLAS Show 2022 on March 14, 2022, at HIMSS22 in Orlando, Florida.
