COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 28, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 3,600 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 853,120*;
• 48 new deaths, for a total of 13,113 deaths;
• 3,091 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 62 compared to the previous day;
• 287 new entries,
• 349 new discharges;
• 228 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 7 compared to the previous day;
• 23 new entries,
• 30 new discharges;
• 33,541 samples conducted on January 26;
• 33,144 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 25,082 positive: 1,771 declared for yesterday, including 1,052 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

• 78,975 doses administered are added, that is 75,704 doses in the last 24 hours and 3,271 doses before January 27, for a total of 17,501,591 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 273,288 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 17,774,879 doses received by Quebecers.
