Mira Technologies Group Awards Integrated Defense and Security Solutions (IDSS) Contract for DETECTtm 1000 Dual Energy Computed Tomography Checkpoint Baggage Screening Systems
Today, Integrated Defense and Security Solutions (IDSS) announced that Mira Technologies Group has awarded a contract for its DETECTTM 1000 Advanced Computed Tomography Checkpoint systems and the TRS BREVA, an automatic tray return system developed by the Italian company GILARDONI S.p.A. in support of the Craiova International Airport located in Craiova, Romania. The award will enhance checkpoint security systems as part of the project for "Complete security of Craiova International Airport".
The DETECTTM 1000 systems will enhance checkpoint efficiencies while improving security and enabling a better passenger experience. The DETECTTM 1000's superior image quality and intuitive user interface provides the most advanced platform with which to identify smaller and more advanced threats while improving operator efficiency. The DETECTtm 1000 integrated with the BREVA will enhance the passenger experience and improve capacity at Craiova Airport while enhancing the security and safety at the checkpoint.
The development and innovation of the TRS BREVA continues to provide improvements in the process. The BREVA system was developed with the main objective of increasing throughput and automating the processing of cabin baggage at checkpoints. The tight integration of the DETECTtm 1000 CT system and TRS BREVA improves passenger throughput while maintaining advanced international security standards.
The system is equipped with a complex and advanced data collection package such as RFID readers and cameras to ensure the effective processing of all passengers. "As restrictions from the pandemic continue to lift and air travel returns, we anticipate the DETECTTM 1000 integrated with the BREVA will assist Craiova International Airport by providing increased checkpoint capacity and operator efficiencies", said Jeffrey Hamel, President and CEO at IDSS.
Integrated Defense and Security Solutions is a small business which develops and manufactures security technology systems based in Boxborough, Massachusetts.
