Ethernet Alliance to Participate in SC21 Open Standards Pavilion and Highlight Importance of Proven Multivendor Ethernet Interoperability

The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technologies, today announced its role at SC21, "The International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis." The Ethernet Alliance will host a kiosk in the Open Standards Pavilion, Booth 1507, at SC21, Nov. 15-18, 2021, at America's Center in St. Louis.

"As HPC (high-performance computing) continues to play a larger, mainstream role in all areas of life, the importance of proven multivendor interoperability is growing more and more important in the field," said David J. Rodgers, events chair, Ethernet Alliance, and senior product marketing manager, Teledyne LeCroy PSG. "Consumers must be able to trust that the products they plug into their networks will work as anticipated and without disrupting existing operations. The tremendous commitment that Ethernet Alliance members have shown to ensure true interoperability across the myriad IEEE 802.3 range of speeds, signaling, form factors, media and reaches is among the key enablers of growth in varied HPC use cases around the world."

SC21, one of the world's largest HPC conferences, will mark the first in-person presence at an industry event for the Ethernet Alliance since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme of SC21 is "Science & Beyond," and the event will celebrate the application of HPC in far-reaching applications from vaccine development to autonomous-vehicle design.

The Ethernet Alliance's kiosk in the SC21 Open Standards Pavilion will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the organization and its services, such as in multivendor interoperability. Across a large ecosystem of providers and both legacy and leading-edge IEEE 802.3 standards-based products, Ethernet is renowned for delivering a dependable and predictable user experience. Proven, multivendor interoperability is why, and the Ethernet Alliance plays a leading role in ensuring that interoperability by sponsoring plugfests, demonstrations, technical-feasibility events and other activities among its members.

Member companies participating in the Ethernet Alliance kiosk in the SC21 Open Standards Pavilion include Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH) and Teledyne LeCroy, Inc. (NYSE: TDY).
