Highway of Heroes to be unveiled at Little Canada in partnership with True Patriot Love Foundation


Bridge dedicated to the memory of Captain Nichola Goddard, the first Canadian woman to die in Afghanistan

WHAT: On Tuesday, November 9, Little Canada is honouring the Highway of Heroes by unveiling the bridge dedicated to Captain Nichola Goddard, the first Canadian woman to perish in combat. True Patriot Love Foundation launched the Highway of Heroes Memorial Campaign in 2011, raising funds to ensure the memories of our fallen soldiers were honoured. Highway 401 became known as the Highway of Heroes when Canadians lined the highway and overpasses to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers being transported from CFB Trenton to Toronto.
