Spectrum Chemical Names Top 10 Chemicals that Have Impacted Quality of Life in Celebration of National Chemistry Week

Spectrum Chemical Mfg. Corp, a global leader in fine chemicals, laboratory equipment and supplies, has named the "Top 10 Chemicals that Have Impacted Quality of Life" in conjunction with National Chemistry Week, October 17- 23, 2021.

Under this year's theme, "FAST or SLOW Chemistry Makes It Go!," National Chemistry Week is a community-based program of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The annual event helps build public awareness of the importance of chemistry to quality of life.

Randy Burg, President and CEO of Spectrum Chemical, said, "This year's National Chemistry Week is extra special to us because we are commemorating 50 years as a chemicals company. It is an occasion to salute our chemical customers, partners and our own staff of scientists, chemists and all our employees who work to make the world a better place."

In honor of National Chemistry Week, Spectrum Chemical scientists compiled a Top 10 Chemicals list based on a number of factors including contributions to saving lives worldwide, ending suffering and enabling technological advancements that have provided more communication channels, improved access to information and modernized the healthcare industry.

"Chemistry plays an essential role in improving the quality of life, as highlighted by the many chemists, scientists and medical professionals playing a key role in the battle against COVID-19 and other disease," said Russell Kneipp, Spectrum Chemical's Chief Operating Officer. "Today, we provide thousands of chemicals such as those under our bioCERTIFIEDtm quality management system, used in the development and production of vaccines and other medical treatment. We are proud to partner with chemistry's unsung heroes to make sure the products we provide continue to improve quality of life."
