School Districts Across the U.S. Deploy Remind Two-Way Communication to Close the Relationship Gap Between Educators and Students

Remind, the leading two-way digital communication platform in education, today announced that several large school districts across the United States have selected Remind to improve personalized learning and strengthen engagement between teachers and students. Additionally, many others have extended their agreements with the company to further their use of Remind's enterprise communication solution.

"As our district customers across the country embark on another challenging school year, we are proud to be a key part of their journey in helping to strengthen the ongoing communication between their educators, students, and families," said Brian Grey, Executive Chairman of Remind. "These districts are demonstrating how schools can truly build an innovative communication program to improve access to resources and help guide families and students through the changing education landscape."

Remind serves over 7 million students across the country with Remind Hub, its integrated enterprise solution for districts and schools. Education organizations leveraging the Remind platform have set out to keep families engaged and help close the learning and relationship gaps that have widened exponentially during the pandemic. New and returning customers with Remind can also reach everyone in their communities in any language, which is often a major barrier contributing to the increase in learning loss.

Scaling Two-Way Communication

Many districts have found Remind's two-way communication platform widely beneficial for their specific engagement needs, particularly on a large scale. Districts like Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in Texas, which serves approximately 117,000 students, have renewed their agreements with Remind to enable more two-way communication between educators and students. While districts may be able to reach families with one-way mass communication, more administrators are citing a need for two-way communication with families to help keep parents and students engaged.

Similarly, both Manteca Unified School District in California and Elmont Union Free School District in the state of New York extended their agreements with Remind because of the benefits they experienced from implementing a text-first approach to engaging families and students. Kennewick School District in Washington also renewed Remind to continue building two-way engagement with students and families.

District-wide Messaging for Meaningful Engagement

From school closures to power outages and weather delays, districts can use Remind to easily manage and simplify district-wide updates to students and families. Barrow County School System in Georgia, Eagle Pass Independent School District in Texas, Pennsbury School District in Pennsylvania, and Iron County School District in Utah have all extended their agreements with Remind to continue using the platform's district-wide messaging capabilities.

"Families across the nation are inundated with school information, but it's often shared in various ways that make it difficult to follow. With Remind, districts can simplify their approach to communication and ensure they are providing meaningful messages to families to help keep their child's education experience positive and on track," added Grey.

Family Engagement to Personalize the Student Learning Journey

The Remind platform was built to help forge stronger relationships not only between educators and students, but with families as well. School districts including Williamsburg-James City Public Schools in Virginia, Downey Unified School District and Escondido Union High School District in California, and Leander Independent School District in Texas all rely on Remind to keep their families engaged in their child's learning journey.

A recent update to Remind Hub has also added capabilities for automatic two-way translation, which is increasingly important to schools and districts with large multilingual populations.

"Many of our district customers saw a huge benefit in engaging families via digital channels during the pandemic," said Grey. "Now, they're also recognizing how these channels can benefit their organizations beyond the pandemic by offering a simple, direct way to communicate with families about their child's education and provide updates from the school community."
