Verily Accelerates Technology and Commercial Growth With New Operations Hub in Dallas

Verily, an Alphabet company founded at the convergence of healthcare, data science and technology, today announced the opening of its new office in Dallas, Texas, which will focus on the maturation of the business, including scaling the company's IT infrastructure and commercial organization. Verily is actively recruiting talent for highly skilled jobs with a focus on IT, Sales and Marketing, and Operations in Dallas.

"Dallas has a long legacy of fostering a vibrant business community and represents a growing center for technology and health innovation," said Stephen Gillett, Verily Chief Operating Officer. "This growth is powered by an exciting and talented population of diverse, experienced and highly-skilled professionals we know will add to Verily's leadership in health technology. Additionally, the new Dallas office will improve cost-competitiveness and collaboration across our operations organization, while providing an exceptional work environment for our employees. We are excited for the role we know Dallas will play in fueling Verily's next chapter of growth."

"The City of Dallas is excited to welcome Verily to Cypress Waters [District 6]," said Omar Narvaéz, Councilmember City of Dallas District 6. "Their commitment to improved data collection in healthcare services is extremely crucial especially during these trying times. This is a great opportunity for many folks to gain much needed employment in our great city."

Verily's decision to open this new office in Dallas was driven by the city's emergence as a major hub for healthcare and technology business growth, with healthcare representing 15 percent of all regional economic activity, totaling more than $52 billion annually in economic activity. This move follows recent global expansions by Verily in Waterloo, Canada and Haifa, Israel. Verily selected each of these markets to enhance and extend the company's research, development and operational capabilities.

"There is a talent and a job rush in Dallas!" said Lucy Billingsley, Partner Billingsley Company. "As exemplified by Verily's attraction to the area, Dallas offers IT experts, marketers, sales leaders and many other highly skilled tech jobs. We are thrilled to welcome Verily to Cypress Waters and Dallas; the talent, creativity and innovation they bring to our city is stunning. Their presence makes us stronger players in the high-tech world."

The Dallas Verily office will open in a temporary location on January 4, 2022. The permanent location, in the Cypress Waters development, will open June 2022. Home to 83 corporate tenants housed within 16 office buildings, Cypress Waters provides world-class indoor and outdoor amenities for collaboration, events and wellness.

"The Dallas Region is quickly becoming an attractive hub for life science and emerging technology, and the expansion of Verily here is the latest example of that success," said Dale Petroskey, President & CEO, Dallas Regional Chamber. "With the fifth largest pool of high-tech talent in the U.S., a diverse industry base, and strong research universities, North Texas is well-positioned to be a market leader in the convergence of healthcare and technology for years to come."

Preston Simons, Verily Chief Information Officer, will lead the office. Verily is looking to build out the team in Dallas now. IT experts, marketers, sales leaders and operations professionals with a deep interest in working at the intersection of healthcare and technology can apply at https://verily.com/roles/.
