Expel Managed Detection and Response Now Available on AWS Marketplace, AWS Detection Virtual Summit Planned for October 20

Expel, the managed detection and response (MDR) provider that's making great security as accessible as the internet, today announced its availability on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. The AWS Marketplace catalog makes it easy for AWS customers to find, test, buy and deploy cloud security solutions that run on AWS. In a simplified procurement process, customers can purchase Expel MDR directly from the AWS Marketplace and pay for the service through their AWS bill.

Expel's listing on the AWS Marketplace gives AWS customers the ability to buy 24x7 MDR services for their AWS or hybrid environment. Expel's detection and response strategies are tailored to specific cloud providers and reevaluated as AWS rolls out new capabilities.

AWS customers will not only have access to consolidated billing and reporting when purchasing Expel MDR through the AWS Marketplace, but can also take advantage of AWS Private Offers to add custom dimensions to their order to support their specific needs.

Expel uses API integrations to connect directly to the AWS Cloud to ingest customers' events and log data and enrich it with context that's specific to their environment. Then, Expel continuously looks for indicators of attacker behavior, including abnormal user behavior or admin activity, suspicious logins, resource sharing and data loss.

When something's suspicious, Expel's analysts investigate and tell customers what happened and what they need to do about it (in plain English). Expel's cloud-trained Security Operations Center triages alerts within minutes, immediately responding to the most suspicious behavior so customers' internal teams can free up time to focus on the initiatives most important to their business.

"AWS offers lots of great native security tools, but there's no easy button for customizing your detections, filtering out false positives or adding context about your environment to your alerts," said Justin Bajko, VP, Strategy & Business Development at Expel. "With Expel, you can make your AWS security signals work harder for you to get answers (not just alerts), resilience recommendations and peace of mind. We're excited that our listing on AWS Marketplace makes it easier than ever for customers to work with us on securing their cloud apps and infrastructure."

In addition to its AWS Marketplace listing, Expel will further its AWS partnership with Expel Detection Day, a virtual summit on AWS detections, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11am - 3 pm EDT.

Participants can join Expel's top detection and response engineers, analysts and guests from AWS and Lacework for an afternoon of tips, tricks and mind-maps on how to take AWS security to the next level. Topics will include:
