Kinetics Noise Control Announces KCI ASHRAE Type 4 Spring Isolators

DUBLIN, Ohio, Sept. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kinetics Noise Control Inc. (Kinetics) is thrilled to announce the launch of a new ASHRAE Type 4 Spring Isolator: the KCI.

The KCI are compact, lightweight, and seismically restrained spring isolators. A plated steel housing and snubbing grommet system limits lateral and vertical movement of the supported equipment during an earthquake or windstorm to approximately 0.2" (5 mm) in any direction. An angled top plate or threaded bolt option are available for equipment attachment. Due to its lower center of gravity, the KCI is recommended for restrained isolation for small-to-medium sized pieces of mechanical equipment near critically quiet areas when there is also a need for wind or seismic restraint.

"We're incredibly excited to be bring the KCI to market. A lightweight compact restrained isolator has always been a hole in the Kinetics offering," says Lee Chiddention, Kinetics Director of Sales for the HVAC Market. "Using the lightest materials possible while providing strong restraint capacity has not been an easy undertaking and we are proud to provide such a small but mighty isolator to the Kinetics lineup."

The unique KCI design also prevents any direct metal-to-metal contact between the supported member and the fixed housing. Find the right restraint for your equipment today: kineticsnoise.com/hvac/kci
