AM Best Launches Second Annual Student Challenge Competition

AM Best is accepting submissions for its second annual risk solution competition, the AM Best Student Challenge. Sponsored by the AM Best Foundation, the Student Challenge asks undergraduate and graduate-level students, or two-member student teams, to develop innovative solutions for managing insurance risks.

Solutions can include new products, distribution methods, creative ways to increase insurance penetration, incentive programs, digitization models, implementation of private/public partnerships or alternative risk transfer. Students must submit their initial abstracts, with a maximum of 500 words, by Monday, Oct. 4, 2021.

The field will be narrowed to three finalists, each of whom will have access to an AM Best mentor to guide them through the development of their solution. Finalists also will receive recognition in Best's Review magazine and on AM Best's social media channels, as well as an academic medal. The winner will be announced next spring.
