Tire Discounters Pledges to Donate Up to $25,000 to Wounded Warrior Project

CINCINNATI, Sept. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In honor of the company's continued commitment to veterans, it's Tire Discounters' turn to give back. Tire Discounters, the nation's largest, 100% family-owned and operated independent tire provider, has pledged to donate up to $25,000 to Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) during a two-week period from August 31 to September 13, 2021.

During the course of the promotion, Tire Discounters will match donations up to $20,000 and contribute a $1 donation up to $5,000 for all likes and shares on social media content. The goal is the reach $50,000 including total customer and Tire Discounters donations. Additionally, anyone who donates any amount of money during this period will receive $100 off one set of four tires on select brands.

"Tire Discounters is proud to continue to support veterans through this donation and by employing many reservists, active veterans, and their spouses," said Charles Curlee, Tire Discounters Vice President of Retail Sales and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. "It's our turn to do what we can to support the men and women who have sacrificed to keep us safe."

This isn't the first time Tire Discounters has extended its support to WWP on behalf of customers and employees. Last year, Tire Discounters raised $40,000 to support WWP during a fundraising event held across more than 135 stores during the first two weeks of October in honor of Veteran's Day. Tire Discounters generously donated $19,934 and donated the remainder by contributing a $1 donation per customer for social media shares and visits to the store to achieve a total of $40,000, nearly doubling the 2019 donation.

In total, Tire Discounters has donated more than $70,000 to WWP since first partnering with the organization. "It's our sincere hope that we add $100,000 to that total this year," Curlee said.

Tire Discounters also employees many U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Air Force veterans across its 140 locations, only further demonstrating their commitment to veterans. For Tire Discounters, the Wounded Warrior Project is a cause that hits close to home.

Funds raised in support of WWP provide programs and services for warriors, including access to mental and physical health care, employment assistance, and education services.

"The support we receive from Tire Discounters helps Wounded Warrior Project empower, employ, and engage warriors in their communities.?Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, warriors never pay a penny for our programs ? because they paid their dues on the battlefield," said Gary Corless, Chief Development Officer at WWP.
