TORONTO, Aug. 4, 2021 /CNW/ - Today's the day! Following two member preview weekends, the Ontario Science Centre reopens its doors to the general public today. In addition to its permanent exhibitions and a varied IMAX® film roster, visitors can experience two new exhibitions inspired by the natural world. An outdoor exhibition, Sean Kenney's Nature Connects® is a collection of sculptures of plants and animals made entirely from LEGO® bricks that explores the interconnectivity between all living things. Moving indoors, Christine and Margaret Wertheim's Crochet Coral Reef art installation responds to the environmental crisis of global warming and the escalating problem of oceanic plastic trash.
To manage building capacity in accordance with public health guidelines, visitors are required to buy or reserve tickets in advance online or by calling 416-696-1000. Tickets are now on sale. Face masks are mandatory in the building, and physical distancing measures are in place. Some areas, including KidSpark and Space Hall Level 4, are temporarily closed.
