DMV Comic Legend Mike Brooks to Perform at the Weinberg Center


FREDERICK, Md., July 27, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- DMV comic legend Mike Brooks & some of his hilarious celebrity comedy friends will be at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM. Rounding out the evening will be the grown & sexy sounds of Still Familiar. Tickets are $55 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. $40 Early Bird special available on tickets purchased through August 10th.

Mike Brooks was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and burst onto the comedy scene in 1996 at a local talent show. He has toured the East and West coasts bringing his hilarious brand of comedy to the masses. Mike was on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View, P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy or the film "The Salon" with Vivica Fox and Terrance Howard. He was recently voted one of the Top 5 Instagram comics. Mike filmed an appearance for Martin Lawrence's 1St Amendment Comedy Stand Up show on the STARZ cable network. He was the opening act for the "Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat" movie in addition to being on the Martin Lawrence Lit AF Tour. Mike has also opened for other entertainers including Bernie Mac, Dave Chappelle, Monique, Damon Wayans, DL Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Patti LaBelle, Maze, Anthony Hamilton and the Isley Brothers.

Also performing will be DC area GoGo band Still Familiar. With a mix of legendary and acclaimed artists, percussionists and musicians, the band has evolved over two decades, with new members and several name variations, but still managed to retain a unique and familiar sound its fans enjoy.
