#Warmly Announces Free App for Zoom: #Warmly People Insights

Today, #Warmly, Inc. announced the launch of #Warmly People Insights, a new app for Zoom delivering a seamless experience accessible within Zoom Meetings. This new in-product app type is now available to download in the Zoom App Marketplace, which hosts 1,400 third-party integrations that extend the power of Zoom's industry-leading video communications platform.

As Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees in enterprise technology, the #Warmly co-founders conceived their idea after moving to Boulder, CO, last year at the start of the pandemic to attend the Techstars accelerator. Within weeks, the entire country was under lockdown restrictions, work went virtual, and the #Warmly team thoroughly believed virtual meetings were the way of the future. After struggling to connect with users via back-to-back video calls--on sales meetings, on investor pitches, throughout Y Combinator's summer 2020 cohort--leading to less camaraderie-building and more fatigue, #Warmly decided to do something about it.

The more they investigated the problems relating to remote connection, the more pervasive they seemed. #Warmly's recent survey of 1,000 people on remote work revealed that many people are regularly stressed and underprepared for their Zoom meetings:

• 41% of people struggle to build connection and rapport when meeting people virtually.
• 61% of people spend more than half their workday in virtual meetings.
• 74% of people have found themselves researching a person while speaking to them.
• 74% of people have found themselves looking up how to pronounce someone's name before a call.
• 73% of people say they are more likely to skip a second meeting with someone who didn't come prepared for the first one.
