Media Advisory - The Governments of Canada and Yukon make announcement related to senior housing
WHITEHORSE, YT, March 1, 2021 /CNW/ - The Governments of Canada and Yukon will be making a major announcement related to housing for seniors.
Media are invited to join the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Larry Bagnell, Member of Parliament for Yukon, as well as The Honourable Pauline Frost, Minister responsible for the Yukon Housing Corporation, and Dan Curtis, Mayor of the City of Whitehorse for the announcement.
To support physical distancing, newsrooms are asked to consider sending the minimum number of staff required for news gathering purposes. The Government of Yukon will be providing a broadcast-quality live stream to its Facebook page.
Anyone showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should not attend and should be in self-isolation consistent with the direction of Yukon's Chief Medical Officer of Health.
