Streamline's SmartCare EHR Successfully Supports FASAMS Version 14

Streamline Healthcare Solutions (Streamline) recently announced they are actively supporting all three versions of Florida's Financial and Services Accountability Management System (FASAMS). FASAMS was implemented in early 2019 to facilitate the coordination of care for persons receiving behavioral health services through their managing entity. FASAMS was established for providers to control costs and have a uniform management information, accounting, and reporting system. All providers in the state will need to move to the latest, version 14, by July 1, 2021.

Streamline has played an integral role in the testing of version 14 as they were part of the pilot program with the state and the managing entity, LSF Health Systems. As part of the pilot program, Streamline was able to invite current client Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare as their test client. Since Starting Point was one of the first Streamline clients to successfully make the transition to version 13, using SmartCare EHR, they previously went through the rigorous process and learned a great deal. Through their transition, Starting Point established a set of best practices that they have adopted to get them to this next phase of FASAMS.

Dr. Laureen Pagel, CEO of Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare said, "We are thankful for the time that Streamline staff has spent learning all three versions of FASAMS, to ensure success and better outcomes for Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare and all Florida Customers. We feel confident that we are ready to make the transition from FASAMS version 13 to FASAMS version 14."

Katie Morrow, VP of Compliance with Streamline said, "We were grateful to be part of the pilot program as it will set us up for success for version 14, and it will give us more insight on the program."
