HCPLive® Adds The American Society for Preventive Cardiology to Its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program

HCPLive® and The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) are excited to announce the addition of The American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC) to their Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) programs.

"We're very honored to be able to join forces with ASPC to help promote the prevention of cardiovascular disease," said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciencestm, the parent company of HCPLive® and AJMC®. "As our partnership grows, we look forward to using our platforms and resources to support their mission and continuing to be a leading organization in preventive cardiology."

ASPC was founded in 1985 as a forum to disseminate the National Institutes of Health Preventive Cardiology Academic Awards. In recent years, ASPC's focus has shifted from acting as an insular organization of academic experts to one with a focused vision of the interdisciplinary value it can bring to the broader health care and scientific community. ASPC currently represents the increasingly multidisciplinary group of health care providers ? physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dieticians and other health care specialists ? along with researchers and industry representatives who share an interest in and passion for preventive cardiology.

"The American Society for Preventive Cardiology is thrilled to partner with HCPLive® and AJMC® SAP programs," said Dr. Peter Toth, president of ASPC. "This partnership will allow ASPC to broaden our reach and further our mission of promoting the prevention of cardiovascular disease, advocating for the preservation of cardiovascular health and disseminating high-quality, evidence-based information through the education of health care to clinicians and their patients."

The HCPLive® and AJMC® SAP programs are a community of advocacy groups, medical associations and medical institutions that foster collaboration and an open exchange of information among trusted peers for the benefit of patients and their families. As part of this joint effort, HCPLive® and AJMC® will work with ASPC to share exclusive information and highlight the impact of preventive cardiology.
