Mirasol's Director of Food & Beverage Awarded Club Industry Scholarship

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Jan. 13, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Amanda Sprenger, Director of Food & Beverage at The Country Club at Mirasol, has been awarded the Sally Rambo Burns Scholarship from The Club Foundation.

Amanda began at Mirasol in 2016 as a member of the Club's Manager in Development program, which offers recent college graduates the opportunity to learn the hospitality business in a nurturing and constructive environment. She was promoted to Restaurant Manager in 2017 and became the Club's Director of Food & Beverage in November.

Amanda was born and raised in Perry, New York and attended Niagara University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a focus in Private Club Management. While attending school, Amanda played on Niagara's Division I Golf Team, where she traveled to and learned about various clubs around the country.

This scholarship will help to pay for Amanda's coursework as she continues on her path to earn the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation. She has already completed her first three Club Management Association of America Business Management Institutes - Club Management, Leadership & Principles, and GM/COO - and has been earning education credits towards her CCM by attending workshops and conferences since her time at Niagara.

Mirasol General Manager and COO Matt Lambert said, "We are very proud of Amanda's well-deserved recognition! Our members and team benefit on a daily basis from her professionalism and leadership and she has been a tremendous role model and mentor, especially to those who have served in our Manager in Development program. Anyone who has met Amanda knows she is destined for great things in our industry, and we look forward to watching her progression as she endeavors to manage her own club someday."

As a mentor and role model, Sally Burns Rambo, CCM was a pioneer who paved the way for the success of countless club industry leaders. To honor her memory and the legacy that she created, this scholarship provides financial support to female club managers interested in furthering their professional development. Each year, The Club Foundation provides critical financial support for club professionals at every stage in their career. Since 1988, The Club Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships and grants, providing professional development opportunities, education and research, and essential training for up-and-coming leaders.
