SAE International's Government/Industry Digital Summit Offers Online Collaboration for Automotive and Government Policy Makers


WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 2, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SAE International announced today that the Government/Industry Digital Summit will take place online on February 2-3, 2021. The summit will connect government policy and regulatory makers with automotive industry professionals to discuss evolving safety, emission control and energy conservation automotive regulations.

"The need for government agency representatives and automotive industry professionals to convene and collaborate in a neutral forum is essential for the development of innovative solutions for key industry challenges," said Frank Bokulich, manager of engineering events at SAE International. "As we shift this annual event to a digital experience, participants can expect expanded access and interactivity as they learn, discuss and collaborate on the latest technologies and regulations impacting the future of mobility."

For two days, participants will have the opportunity to listen to government regulatory agencies and the OEM community discuss the latest areas of critical importance to the mobility industry, including heavy-duty vehicle policies, crash safety test procedures and other long term strategies that OEMs are employing to meet the government regulations.

The digital summit is designed to allow participants to network and collaborate with colleagues in an online lounge for one-on-one conversations, group chats and discussions with panelists from each individual session. This year's sessions will focus on topics including electric vehicles, the future of data, transportation and air pollution, energy consumption, and more.

Additionally, participants will have access to more than 100 on-demand pre-recorded presentations focusing on safety, and more than 50 presentations related to energy, the environment, and emissions, presented by experts in each field.

Following the conclusion of the Government/Industry Digital Summit, SAE and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will hold a free CyberSecurity Workshop, on Thursday, February 4, 2021, where participants can engage in discussions surrounding three critical activities impacting cybersecurity today:
