RCN Lehigh Valley to Host 35th Annual Dream Come True Telethon and Auction on December 7

BETHLEHEM, Pa., Nov. 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For the 35th year, RCN Lehigh Valley is teaming up with Dream Come True, a non-profit dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children who are seriously, chronically or terminally ill in the Greater Lehigh Valley area, for its annual Dream Come True Telethon and online auction. Bidding in the online auction is open now and the telethon airs on Monday, December 7 from 6:00pm-9:00pm on RCN-TV channel 4 / HD 1004 in the Lehigh Valley and channel 8 / HD 608 in Delaware County. Financial donations are accepted during the fundraiser via phone and on Dream Come True's website.

Rayann Vasko, executive director of Dream Come True, said, "We're excited to be able to host the annual Dream Come True telethon this year. While it will be a little different due to the pandemic, children are still being diagnosed with life-altering illnesses every day and we need the community's support now more than ever."

The online auction hosted via Bidding Owl opened on November 23 and runs through 9:00pm on December 7. Items donated by RCN's network partners and local supporters offered for bid include Apple AirPods, an HP Pavilion Touch Screen laptop, an outdoor/indoor projection screen with projector, a Sonos Playbar, a Tumi Voyager backpack and much more. Last year, the event raised over $100,000.

The live television program is produced by RCN-TV, the broadcast production arm of RCN. The evening is filled with inspiring entertainment, including interviews from previous Dream Come True recipients and dedicated community members. RCN-TV Sports Director and broadcaster Gary Laubach will be hosting alongside on-air personalities Scott Barr and Devin Almonte.
