Media Invitation - Catholic Church of Montreal: Release of independent report on complaints against former priest Brian Boucher
MONTREAL, Nov. 23, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Pepita G. Capriolo, retired Quebec Superior Court judge, and Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal invite the media to attend a virtual press conference November 25, 2020, during which the independent report on the handling of complaints against former priest Brian Boucher will be made public.
Capriolo Report
Representatives of the media may obtain a copy of the embargoed Capriolo Report in preparation for the press conference as of 8 a.m., Wednesday, November 25.
The report will then be posted on the website of the Catholic Church of Montreal www.diocesemontreal.org as of 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, following the press conference.
Press Conference
The virtual press conference will be held Wednesday, November 25 at 1:30 p.m. Media representatives are encouraged to register for the press conference in advance to assist with arrangements, given the limitations of virtual communication.
Justice Pepita G. Capriolo and Archbishop Lépine will participate in a question period following their presentations. Media will be invited virtually to pose questions; the order will be based upon a list that has been compiled prior to the press conference. To be included on the list of those who will be invited to pose questions, media are asked to register with the contact below as soon as possible.
In addition, Archbishop Lépine will be available at approximately 3:30 p.m. for on-site interviews with individual journalists and camera operators. Justice Capriolo will not be available for on-site interviews.
The digital recording of the press conference will be available on the Catholic Church of Montreal's YouTube channel as of Wednesday late afternoon, November 25.
