/R E P E A T -- Unveiling of the first REM cars/

MONTREAL, Nov. 12, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) project office invites the public to a virtual unveiling of the first REM cars on Monday, November 16, starting at 9:15 a.m. The unveiling event will take place live on the REM's Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/events/739877610212910.

A major milestone was reached by the project office and its partners, NouvLR and GPMM, in the completion of the project, as all the infrastructure on the South Shore was ready to receive the first cars. This step will launch the trial and test period for the REM's light rail cars that will soon be operating on the South Shore.

Unveiling process

In order to avoid gatherings and comply with physical distancing rules, the unveiling will take place on Facebook Live. Only one camera for all media will be allowed on site (camera pool) during the unveiling.

Question period

There will be a virtual question period for media representatives after the unveiling of the cars. To participate in this virtual question period, you must first register using the contact information below to receive login instructions.

Car tours

Car tours will be organized in sub-groups the day of the event. In order to avoid gatherings and comply with physical distancing rules, a limited number of journalists will be able to participate at the same time.
