Gympass Finds 95% of Employees Link Wellness to Productivity, Expands Service Offerings With Addition of Wellness Coaches

The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to play an impacting role on people's mental health and overall wellbeing. According to recent research conducted by Gympass, 69% of employees have experienced burnout since remote work was mandated. As a result, Gympass, the world's largest corporate wellness benefits platform, today announced the expansion of its offerings with the addition of wellness coaching sessions. Informed by data from a recent global survey, Gympass found that nearly 95% of people say their wellness routine is important to their productivity at work. This product expansion further allows Gympass to better equip employers with a platform that meets the heightened wellness needs of their employees.

According to the Gympass global survey, 77% of respondents say that it's important to them that their employer provides affordable wellness options, pointing to a clear call to action for employers worldwide. During a time where many employees are feeling isolated and experiencing work burnout, it's more important than ever for employers to play a key role in providing their workforce with the right resources that will improve their overall wellbeing during the pandemic and beyond.

"While we navigate our way through the pandemic, Gympass is continuing to keep a pulse on the growing wellbeing needs of our users and adjusting our offerings accordingly," said Marshall Porter, U.S. CEO at Gympass. "We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our platform to now include personalized coaching with wellness coaches. This new service will further revolutionize how employees have access to create a holistic wellness routine, all with one simple monthly membership."

Through the Gympass platform, wellness coaches will help users focus on their mental, emotional and physical health. They will work closely with Gympass members on a one-on-one basis to provide the necessary support and inspiration in order for them to continue to the next stage of their personal development. Acting as a key motivator in helping their clients to stay on track towards achieving their personal wellness goals, a wellness coach can help users prioritize critical areas of their holistic wellness including exercise, emotional and mental health, nutrition and more. At no additional cost, the coaches will provide users with a personalized Wellbeing Plan and Gympass members can book as many as 2 sessions per week to create a routine that's right for them.

"Throughout my career, it's always been a great joy for me to witness my clients make strides in their wellness journeys," said Gympass Wellness Coach Alice Maples. "I'm excited to be working with Gympass and to be able to find new ways to help professionals prioritize their wellness needs, ultimately helping them work towards their professional development and personal mental health."

This product expansion comes on the heels of the company's launch of wellbeing services, including the biggest, exclusive collection of wellness apps, all available for no additional cost to Gympass members. The platform has more than 55 apps currently (and actively expanding), such as Calm, Nootric, Healing Clouds, and Moneyed. In addition to the mindfulness apps, Gympass provides nutrition programs, meditation, therapy, activities for kids, and up to 8 1:1 personal training sessions per month, all at no additional cost to Gympass users. Through these fitness and wellness benefits, Gympass is able to help over 2,000 corporate companies (including major corporations such as Santander, NetJets and Citizens Bank) drive employee engagement, and improve individual productivity. Gympass proves that when health and wellness are prioritized, all other facets of your day to day will improve.
