Groundworks Hires Alex Wong to Continue to Evolve Home Service Industry Technology

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Oct. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Groundworks Companies®, the nation's largest privately held foundation services company, announced today that Alex Wong has joined as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Alex brings nearly 20 years of experience in information technology and software development leadership to Groundworks. He specializes in the strategic application of emerging technologies to business.

Alex received his bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management from Upper Iowa University. Upon completion of his studies, he was hired as a programmer for one of the world's largest market research firms, Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), in Los Angeles, CA. Following success at TNS, Alex founded his own IT firm in Washington, DC that he grew for over nine years until deciding to sell the business. Alex went on to lead technology efforts with multiple major home and real estate companies including serving as Chief Technology Officer of Drucker & Falk in Newport News, VA. Most recently, he served as Vice-President of Technology at Roscoe Property Management in Austin, Texas.

Alex was born in Malaysia and lived in numerous parts of the United States, but he now calls New Kent, VA home. Though he is a talented artist specializing in painting and photography, his greatest passion is his family. He spends as much of his time as possible with his wife Hazel and his children Alexander (6) and Angela (2).
