VITAS® Healthcare Opens 14-Bed Inpatient Hospice Unit At Villa Rosa In San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 29, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents of San Antonio now have expanded access to compassionate end-of-life care through the VITAS Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit (IPU) at Villa Rosa Medical Plaza. Located at 5131 Medical Drive, Suite 310, this facility is expected to serve more than 700 patients with advanced illness annually.

VITAS IPUs offer a temporary home away from home for patients near the end of life, along with their families, when symptoms can no longer be managed in their preferred setting of care.
