Da Vinci Education Welcomes New Member to Team

SAINT JAMES, N.Y., Sept. 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In order to adapt to the surge of homeschooling and virtual learning, Da Vinci has welcomed a new team member aboard. The Long Island based professionals at Da Vinci Education and Research are dedicated to bringing diagnostic and prescriptive strategies to students, parents and school districts to help them support learning needs and maximize their unique academic potential. During these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to have emotional behavioral support readily available for all in-person and virtual students.

"I am happy to join the Da Vinci team and am excited to bring a mental health component with me," says Lorna Bosak, LCSW-R. "Now more than ever children are having to manage a great deal of anxiety that could have a negative impact on their mental health and their ability to learn. My goal is to help students learn to manage their concerns and feelings while offering parents ways to support their children in these stressful times."

Ms. Bosak, LCSW-R, earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and has worked with children, adolescents and their families for over 20 years. Her approach is eclectic; utilizing components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Play Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Mindfulness, based on the unique needs of the individual. Ms. Bosak assists clients in developing coping skills for problems related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, family discord, social skills issues, grief, as well as assisting those who have a history of trauma.

"We have long been waiting for the right person to come along and help us in our commitment to supporting our learners in a way that meets their unique needs," says Kerry Leo, Founder and CEO. "Lorna brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to address the social and emotional needs of our students as they successfully proceed on their journey to learn how they learn best!"

The safety of the staff, students, parents and all clients is a top priority at Da Vinci Education. The previously stated measures will be implemented for the foreseeable future as the center transitions back to business as usual in the coming months.
