College Apps Abroad to host webinar on How to Apply for College or Grad School Abroad in the Midst of a Pandemic

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Students across the country who are interested in applying for college or graduate school overseas are invited to attend the upcoming webinar on "How to Apply for College or Grad School Abroad in the Midst of a Pandemic."

The webinar will take place Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. EST and will be hosted by College Apps Abroad, a San Diego-based educational consultancy that helps students and families navigate the application process for overseas studies.

Attendees will also hear from representatives of King's College London, Macquarie University and the University of Auckland, institutions all ranked in the world's top 250 according to the 2021 QS World University Rankings.

The speakers will detail how Covid-19 is currently impacting international admissions, the student experience and the student visa process in the UK, Australia and New Zealand specifically.

Sara Cavalieri, founder of College Apps Abroad, said that now more than ever, students from North America are taking a global view toward the application process, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

"With so much uncertainty around online classes, admissions requirements, testing and Covid-19, the current trend seems to be that students are applying to multiple countries and educational systems," she said.

And for those who hadn't thought about applying abroad before, the presentation will also discuss other reasons applying for a degree overseas may be worth considering.

"The universities participating in the webinar just happen to be located in three of the world's most dynamic and top-rated student cities?London, Sydney and Auckland. I've lived in two of them," said Cavalieri.

"But choosing to do a degree abroad is not just about travel anymore; it's also often about paying less in tuition, to gain a step up in employability and graduate faster, to name a few," she said.

"It's also a very immersive cultural experience, much different than just studying abroad for a semester."

Registration for the webinar is available here.
