BIOQUAL Announces Publication in The New England Journal of Medicine of Non-Human Primate Preclinical Viral Challenge Study of an mRNA Vaccine Against COVID-19 (mRNA-1273)


BIOQUAL announces the publication of the successful testing of an mRNA vaccine in non-human primates. The candidate vaccine, mRNA-1273, was co-developed by scientists at the NIAID Vaccine Research Center and a pharmaceutical company. The animal studies were performed at BIOQUAL. The results were published online in the New England Journal of Medicine. This project has been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the NIAID, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. 75N93019C00069
