InventHelp Inventor Develops a New Design for a Smart Outlet (MTN-3478)

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "Configuring a room around electrical outlets can be challenging, particularly those activated by a wall switch," said an inventor, from Montgomery, N.Y. "I thought there could be a means to easily augment existing outlets to increase flexibility and alleviate this problem, so I invented the DUPLI-SWITCH."

The patent-pending invention provides a new type of smart outlet design. In doing so, it enables multiple lamps or other electrical items to be controlled by an existing wall switch, expanding the capability of current outlet configurations. As a result, it eliminates the need to use long extension cords and it increases convenience and flexibility when positioning furniture and lighting. The invention features a versatile design that is quick and easy to install without any tools, fobs, remotes or apps. It is ideal for households, businesses and electrical and wiring contractors. Additionally, it is producible in design variations.

The inventor described the invention design. "My design enables any room with one switchable outlet to govern other non-switchable outlets in the same room or nearby areas. Additional rooms can also reap the benefits of DUPLI-SWITCH independently of others."

The original design was submitted to the Manhattan sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
