Jennifer Ward Joins Orange County Business Council as Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Government Affairs

IRVINE, Calif., July 13, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Orange County Business Council is pleased to welcome Jennifer Ward as Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Government Affairs, beginning July 13. Working closely with President and CEO Lucy Dunn, as well as OCBC's communications and investor relations teams, she will oversee all aspects of the Council's government and public affairs programs at a critical time for Orange County's business community.

Ward joins OCBC from Clean Power Alliance, the nation's largest community choice energy provider, where she spent two years on the start-up team and served as Director of External Affairs. She is a senior level political and public affairs strategist with extensive work collaborating with local leaders across Southern California.

Prior to her tenure with Clean Power Alliance, Ward served as Director of Government Relations for the Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) where she led engagement with policymakers, business and academic leaders, and community stakeholders to tackle a variety of issues for the region's future, including economic and workforce development, transportation, sustainability, and public health.

Ward holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Analysis, Society Development and Policy from Claremont McKenna College.
