uShip Evolves Payments and Accounts Receivable Processes with MSTS' Credit as a Service

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MSTS, a global B2B payment and credit solutions provider, announced it will provide its Invoicing at Checkout solution to uShip, the leading transportation marketplace serving the freight, furniture, and vehicle shipping markets. MSTS' Credit as a Service® (CaaS) solution enables uShip to offer its business customers net terms and payment by invoice. Additionally, MSTS will take on uShip's accounts receivable process to provide efficiency and free up time and resources.

As business to business marketplaces grow rapidly in today's ecommerce landscape, MSTS provides added value for companies like uShip by allowing customers to pay via invoice to build loyalty in the marketplace, boosting online conversion, and helping the industry better meet B2B buyer expectations by optimizing the online purchase experience.

MSTS' CaaS solution makes the ability to pay on terms as easy as accepting credit cards. It has a suite of tools to accelerate commerce, including InvoiceMe, an application that plugs into online marketplace platforms. The InvoiceMe button is visible at checkout and both authenticates customers and determines the appropriate line of credit to enable their payment to be processed.

uShip selected MSTS due to ease of onboarding, consolidated invoicing, capital flexibility, and credit risk management provided by CaaS. The logistics platform was also looking for a solution that offers a high level of white label services and a cohesive customer experience.

"We're glad that uShip selected us to streamline their payments and accounts receivable process," said Brandon Spear, President at MSTS. "Adding uShip to our customer base is a testament to the positive impact Credit as a Service has on the business to business marketplace industry as a whole."

Through MSTS' CaaS Solution, uShip will now be able to offer more strategic payment solutions to customers to streamline transactions, provide instant onboarding and convenient payment of invoices. Customers will also have access to a portal with visibility to credit lines and a complete log of all invoices. The improved payment technology will provide customers with an enhanced marketplace experience and frictionless buying process.

"The modern marketplace is evolving from infrequent consumer shipping to frequent high-volume business shipping," said Kris Lamb, CEO of uShip. "Given there are no signs of this trend slowing down, it's critical we provide our customers, especially business shippers, with the flexibility to pay on terms and pay by invoice to support customers' growing needs for this type of service. MSTS further advances our goal to make logistics as efficient and scalable as possible."
