G.L. Bruno Associates, Ernest Health, and Vibra Healthcare to Bring New Medical Rehabilitation Hospital to Bakersfield


FRESNO, Calif., June 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- G.L. Bruno Associates, Inc. (GLB) is proud to announce that they have broken ground on a two-story, 60,000 square foot, Class A, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital owned by Medical Properties Trust and leased to Ernest Health. The hospital will be managed by an affiliate of Vibra Healthcare, LLC. The build-to-suit structure will be prominently positioned on the Rio Bravo Medical Campus with high visibility from Route 178 within a growth corridor of Bakersfield. The 50-bed hospital is expected to meet an established and growing demand within the greater Bakersfield community.

The rehabilitation hospital will house the most current technologies available in the rehabilitation field to treat specific diagnoses such as stroke, amputation, multiple trauma, pulmonary rehab, spinal cord injury, orthopedic rehab, post-op neurosurgery, wound care, burns, arthritis and many more. Ernest's inpatient medical rehabilitation hospital will provide a safe, cheerful environment where patients benefit from their compassionate and professional round-the-clock care. Development and construction of the hospital will cost an estimated $48 million and is projected to be completed by the fall of 2021. The GLB team is responsible for all construction including a commitment to deliver the project on schedule and within budget.
