Senior Housing News Launches 2020 Architecture & Design Awards Program

CHICAGO, June 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Communities from around the U.S. and world can now submit new construction and renovation projects in 11 categories this year: 55+, Active Adult, Affordable, Assisted Living, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Hospice, Independent Living, International, Renovation/Repositioning, Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute Care and Standalone Memory Care.

"Particularly in light of reduced travel and conference participation this year, The 2020 SHN Architecture & Design Awards is a great way to virtually showcase the latest work of senior housing owners, operators and developers, for a global audience," said George Yedinak, founder of Senior Housing News. "Now in its seventh year, we look forward to presenting this annual awards competition, which year after year highlights the latest best-in-class ideas driving the future of senior living design."

Submissions are now open until October 31, 2020. Winners will be announced in December 2020.

A panel of industry experts with backgrounds in development, architecture and interior design will judge the projects, evaluating entries based on design and aesthetic criteria. Not only will judges analyze design elements such as color, light and landscape architecture, they will also consider community functionality by analyzing key features that are critical to property type, such as universal design techniques.
