Surgent Scholarship Winners Announced For 2020 Spring Season

RADNOR, Pa., June 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Surgent Exam Review and Surgent CPA Review today announced the selection of the recipients of both the Surgent CPA Review College Scholarship and the Surgent Exam Review College Scholarship.

These scholarships are open to college students working towards an accounting major and currently attending an accredited college or university within the U.S. This year's recipients are currently enrolled at College of DuPage and Oral Roberts University.

Surgent also runs course scholarships quarterly on a quarterly basis, that sees Surgent giving away hundreds of exam prep courses throughout the year to qualified candidates from various firms, universities, and professional organizations who are working to obtain credentials like CPA.

To be considered, applicants must apply online and submit a short video answering questions such as "Why did you decide to become a CPA?" From there, all applications go through a competitive and rigorous application process, where applicants are selected based upon merit and their thought-provoking, personal answers focused on the accounting industry. These applications are then reviewed by a judging committee comprised of Surgent staff and advisors.

Applications are accepted between two periods, with the Fall 2020 scholarship beginning to collect entries beginning in June. To be eligible, students must currently be pursuing accounting at an accredited college or university within the U.S. with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
