SCAR and Partner Organizations Unveil the Platform for Change: Responding to This Moment


SPOKANE, Wash., June 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- SCAR (Spokane Community Against Racism), and many partner organizations (see scarspokane.org for full list), will unveil the Platform for Change: Responding to This Moment, taking place at The Gathering Place at 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. on June 19th at 12:15 pm, and will feature a complete reading of the SCAR Platform for Change.

SCAR is eager to unveil the Platform for Change to the elected and appointed officials of the City of Spokane and Spokane County. The Platform for Change will outline and define our short-term and long-term goals for structural, systemic, and cultural change within the Spokane criminal justice system.

The Platform for Change reading will begin at 12:15 pm. Representatives from SCAR and the partner organizations will be present. We will have an accompanying vehicle procession with a companion live broadcast from KYRS and we will also be streaming the reading on the SCAR Spokane Facebook page.
