"Silence on the issues of systemic racism, on inequalities in the criminal justice system, assaults on the free press and on our fundamental First Amendment rights as Americans cannot be tolerated by a free people in a democracy," said Rick Dias, President and Chief Operating Officer of Thermos L.L.C. "It is incumbent upon all of us to publicly renounce these threats and commit to making meaningful changes within our own organization. We must all stand up and speak out. We understand that it is not enough to make public declarations but it is unthinkable in these times not to do so. We stand in full support of the Black Lives Matter movement, criminal justice reform and a free press."

The NAACP LDF is at the forefront of the movement to fight for racial justice. During this time, the fight to defend civil and human rights has never been more critical.
