Bill Poulos, 20/30 Wealth Trader Mastermind, Supports Executive Order Limiting Police Chokeholds and Offers Positive Narrative Celebrating Black American Entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON, June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Bill Poulos, Co-Founder of Profits Run, today announced his support of President Trump's executive order calling for police reform and limiting the use of potentially deadly chokeholds. Poulos shared, "The executive order read, 'As Americans, we believe that all persons are created equal and endowed with the inalienable rights to life and liberty. A fundamental purpose of government is to secure these inalienable rights...Unfortunately, there have been instances in which some officers have misused their authority, challenging the trust of the American people, with tragic consequences for individual victims, their communities, and our Nation. All Americans are entitled to live with the confidence that the law enforcement officers and agencies in their communities will live up to our Nation's founding ideals and will protect the rights of all persons. Particularly in African-American communities, we must redouble our efforts as a Nation to swiftly address instances of misconduct.' I wholeheartedly agree. While the overwhelming majority of police do a fine job, often under very difficult circumstances, the color of our skin should not?in any circumstance?limit our rights to life, liberty, and protection under the law. We must ensure equal treatment and protection for our fellow Americans. As fellow human beings, we need to treat one another with compassion and respect."

Poulos went on to encourage American's to draw their attention away from daily negativity in the media to focus on the wonderful accomplishments of Black Americans. He shared, "Today, I learned about the first Black American, self-made billionaire, Reginald Lewis? founder of TLC Beatrice International Holdings, Inc. He achieved great success by believing in himself and his ability to overcome the many obstacles along his path to greatness. He is most definitely the epitome of the American Dream. He started his entrepreneurial journey early in life. Establishing his own newspaper route at the age of 10, he later sold it for a profit after gaining over 100 customers in just 2 years. Lewis graduated from Harvard Law School, established Wall Street's first African-American law firm, and went on to become the richest Black American in the United States through his ventures with TLC Group, L.P. Lewis urged us, 'Keep going. To build a better society in America. To be a compassionate America...Keep going, no matter what.' I couldn't agree more."

Poulos shared, "This week, I will be showcasing Lewis' accomplishments on Fightforhope.com. Fight for Hope celebrates Black American entrepreneurs who overcame life's adversities to accomplish outstanding things in business." By sharing and focusing on the excellent accomplishments of Black Americans, Poulos hopes that America's youth will be inspired by these role models to do great things in life and that this positive narrative is instilled in all citizens of this Country.

Tuesday, June 16, 2020, President Trump signed an executive order calling for police reform and prohibiting the use of chokeholds except where legally authorized to use deadly force. Offering incentives to comply, the order also aims to track law enforcement misconduct and better equip officers to properly handle "individuals suffering from impaired mental health, homelessness, and addiction." The executive order revealed that "Department of Justice discretionary grant funding" would only be allocated to "State and local law enforcement agencies" who "have sought or are in the process of seeking" credentials from a "reputable independent credentialing body certified by the Attorney General." It then stated that the Attorney General shall require independent credentialing bodies to confirm that "the State or local law enforcement agency's use-of-force policies prohibit the use of chokeholds ? a physical maneuver that restricts an individual's ability to breathe for the purposes of incapacitation ? except in those situations where the use of deadly force is allowed by law."

Poulos concluded, " If you do not already, today I urge you to get to know your Black American neighbors, support Black American owned businesses, and get involved with helping the inner city kids get a good education. Anything is possible if we work together. In order for black kids to have the opportunity to realize their full potential in life and even have the opportunity to become the next Reginald Lewis they must receive a good education. They must graduate from high school, go on to college or a good trade school. Those of us who are able should seek out and support inner city programs that are designed to assure that the kids get a good education. Doing so, will literally change countless lives to the benefit of all."
