Rathnelly Group Media Launches GLORY's First Interactive Digital Spring Women Who Win Issue

TORONTO, June 12, 2020 /CNW/ - Canadian multimedia company Rathnelly Group Media is proud to debut its first interactive digital issue of GLORY.

GLORY's third issue and first-ever Women Who Win issue features a diverse showcase of inspiring women athletes and leaders who, in the face of adversity, have chosen not to back down but rather continue to carve their own path.

From Scout Bassett's journey from an orphanage to the Paralympic stage and MMA fighter Jessica Eye's lesson in the power of letting her guard down, to Hayley Wickenheiser, whose voice became a north star guiding us through the ongoing pandemic, each athlete and leader featured has had to walk an uncharted path and are living, breathing examples of why nothing is truly impossible.

"COVID-19 has presented new challenges for many in the media landscape and we are not immune to this. Our choice to pause our print efforts and move temporarily to an all-digital format came with a mix of caution and excitement, but we found inspiration in the resolute spirit of the very athletes we feature," said Editor-in-Chief, Holly Walker. "Sometimes the uncomfortable moments bring about the most creativity and innovation. We're proud to present this unique issue to our rapidly growing audience while continuing to build our existing digital footprint."

The Women Who Win issue, presented as a microsite, is unique in our dynamic approach to merging traditional elements of a physical magazine with the capabilities of an interactive website, ultimately blending the best of both worlds into one cohesive multimedia ecosystem. Alongside the Women Who Win package, video storytelling will take readers behind the scenes with Nike designers and professional athletes during New York Fashion Week and audio segments from interviews add a layer of intimacy, pulling real-life into the digital space for a more robust viewer experience.

"As a lifelong fan and champion of Canadian sports and the athletes who inspire us all with their constant display of will and determination, I couldn't be more proud of the statement being made with GLORY's first ever Women Who Win issue," says publisher David King.

"While the world is reeling from so many unexpected open wounds all at once, the Rathnelly Media Group team and myself are prideful of the small role we're playing in ensuring that Canada's stories of success and leadership, especially in the world of sports, continue to be told. Make no mistake, we're under pressure like never before on so many levels but like the human spirit and determination captured in GLORY's Women Who issue, we will prevail and continue to lead by example through action."

An independently-owned company, Rathnelly Group Media has always adapted to the volatility of the media landscape by being agile and making quick decisions. The interactive digital spring Women Who Win issue is a testament and reflection of the company's ability to pivot with flexibility to not just survive, but thrive with creativity and innovation. Rathnelly Group Media plans to return to its regular print schedule in the Fall of 2020. In the meantime, stay tuned for GLORY and Bay Street Bull digital issues to come.
